Fogarty Fellowship
UC Davis Center for Global Health is happy to support applications from professional (MD, DDS, PharmD, PhD) and post-doctoral trainees for one year of support for international research. These fellowships are a fantastic opportunity to join the legacy of numerous international health leaders. The fellowship ensures a rigorous mentorship plan at both the host and institution site, with pathway to impactful scientific output and lasting partnerships. Global Health Symposium Submissions
Submissions Due November 9, 2025
The UCD Center for Global Health Research Symposium will bring together participants from across all levels of training—including medical students, residents, fellows, faculty, and staff—to showcase global health–focused work and engage in shared learning with colleagues.
The Center for Global Health team is excited to receive your submissions and looks forward to your participation in this inaugural event.
Spring CGH Pilot Grants Application — Deadline May 14, 2026
The Center for Global Health at UC Davis plans to fund seed grants for global research projects. Eligible applicants are School of Medicine faculty, post-doctoral fellows, or post-graduate trainees (residents or fellows). Projects will be funded for $5,000 to be expended within 12 months of receipt. Pilot projects with potential to expand to larger extramural grants or projects extending existing research activity are encouraged. Priority areas of funding are for projects with a rural health component, and/or projects engaging a trainee, particularly medical students. Projects may encompass clinical research, or quality improvement initiatives expected to have scholarly output. A two-page proposal is required with the following components:
- Major objectives
- Approach
- Timeline
- Team expertise including strength of partnering site
- Expected outputs
